Blue Rocks Host Frederick Keys During Promotion-Packed Three-Game Home Stand

Italian Heritage Night highlights promotional lineup at Frawley Stadium
July 6, 2015

WILMINGTON, Del. - Every Blue Rocks home stand brings a plethora of great promotions to the riverfront, and the three-game set at Frawley Stadium beginning on Tuesday, July 7 is no exception. The Rocks are in town to host the Frederick Keys for a trio of games, and a ticket to one of these contests means a chance to see the first-half Carolina League Northern Division Champion Blue Rocks in action, as well as being able to enjoy exciting events and giveaways at the ballpark. The club will be holding a different promotion every night, including Italian Heritage Night during game two of the home stand.

Tuesday, July 7 marks the beginning of the three-game series between the Rocks and the Keys at Frawley Stadium. As is the case with every Tuesday home contest, fans that come out to the ballpark that night can enjoy a Two-riffic Tuesday. On a night where deuces are wild, fans can get themselves two tickets to the game, as well as two hot dogs and two sodas, all for just $22. First pitch for the evening's game is scheduled for 6:35 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

With the Wednesday, July 8 contest comes the first and only Italian Heritage Night at Frawley Stadium this season, which is presented by Botto's Italian Sausages. Throughout the course of the evening, fans will get to take in traditional Italian music, as well as specialty foods and drinks, including sausage sandwiches at the concession stand for $1. Frawley will also welcome Frank Sinatra Impersonator James Young, who will be performing during the game. The Blue Rocks will also hold their Winning Wednesday promotion, presented by the Delaware Lottery. Throughout each Wednesday home game in 2015, the Blue Rocks will give away a big ticket item valued at $100 or more to a lucky fan in the stadium, with each Winning Wednesday featuring a different item up for grabs. In addition, if the Blue Rocks win on Wednesday, fans can present their ticket stubs from that contest at the ticket window for a free General Admission ticket to the next Wednesday home game. Game time is slated for 6:35 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

The final game of the home stand takes place on Thursday, July 9, which means another Beer: 30 Thursday, presented by Dogfish Head. During every Beer: 30, fans can enjoy craft beers at amazing prices, including Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA drafts for $3, 90 Minute IPA bottles for $3, and Domestics and Wines for $2 each. The Blue Rocks also feature a different Dogfish Head seasonal or specialty ale on specific Thursdays throughout the 2015 campaign. For the July 9 tilt, that seasonal ale will be the Festina Peche brew. Just like Tuesday and Wednesday, first pitch for the Thursday game will be 6:35 p.m., with gates opening at 5:30 p.m.

The Blue Rocks have already punched their ticket to the playoffs thanks to a first-half Carolina League Northern Division crown, but that doesn't mean the summer fun ends at Frawley Stadium. With so much crammed into three days on the riverfront, the Rocks hope to share the festivities of the upcoming home stand with you.
