TOLEDO, OH - The Rochester Red Wings managed just five hits and lost for the fourth game in a row, falling 2-1 to the Toledo Mud Hens at Fifth Third Field Monday night.

Rochester has now lost 13 straight games in the state of Ohio since 2013. The Red Wings (53-50) have also dropped six of their last eight games.

Pat Dean (7-9) threw an eight-inning complete game after scattering nine hits and two walks. The Mud Hens (44-59) hit into four double plays against Dean, who needed just 86 pitches for his second complete game of the season.

Toledo loaded the bases with no outs in the first inning but Dean limited the damage to one run. Mike Hessman bounced into a double play to score a run for the first two outs and a fly out ended the inning.

Reynaldo Rodriguez, who homered for the second straight day had two of Rochester's five hits, tied for the team lead with his 11th home run in the second against Josh Zeid, who made a spot start for the Detroit Triple-A affiliate after the schedule starter, Kyle Ryan, was recalled by the Tigers on Sunday. Rochester will face another bullpen game on Tuesday as Detroit recalled Buck Farmer Monday.

The Mud Hens scored the eventual game-winning run in the fourth as Trayvon Robinson singled on a 3-2 pitch after the 2-2 pitch looked to be a strike but Dean couldn't get the call from home plate umpire Seth Buckminster. Dean Green then ripped a double down the right-field line two pitches to score Robinson giving Toledo the 2-1 lead.

Both teams combined to hit into seven double plays, none bigger than Oswaldo Arcia's in the eighth. With two on and one out, Arcia ripped a ball to first base that Green snared, fire to second and accepted the return throw to end the threat. The play would have tied the game and almost certainly given the Red Wings the lead.

Drew VerHagen (1-2) earned the win with 3.0 scoreless relief innings while Guido Knudson secured his seventh save.
