Lookouts Fall to Biscuits in Extra Innings to Even Series at One

September 13, 2015

The Montgomery Biscuits scored in the top of the 11th inning to break the stalemate and win game two to even the series with the Lookouts at one game a piece.

Chattanooga began the game with a flurry of runs in the first inning. A Jorge Polanco single and a Max Kepler walk put two runners on for Travis Harrison who singled home the team's first run of the day. The next batter DJ Hicks drove home two more runs on a single of his own to make it 3-0 Lookouts.

The team's lead lasted a while as Jason Wheeler shutdown the Biscuits. The lefty only allowed one run in six innings on three hits. With Wheeler out of the game Montgomery's offense pounced on Chattanooga's bullpen, tying the game in the seventh on a Juniel Querecuto two-run single.

Knotted at three the game seemed to take a turn in the Biscuits favor when they put up two runs in the 10th. The Lookouts roared back in the bottom of the inning, however, on a Polanco two-run homer to right field. Tied back up the game ended in the 11th when Dayron Varona single home the eventual winning run.

Tomorrow the two teams head to Montgomery for game three of the series. RHP Greg Peavey will take the mound against RHP Austin Pruitt at 7:35 EST.
