Bisons announce TV, radio and online broadcast schedule for 2016

From the Greater Toronto Area to the Southern Tier and throughout the great state of New York, baseball fans will be able to catch all the excitement of Bisons baseball on their televisions, on their radios and through their mobile devices in 2016.

The Bisons today announced their broadcast partners for 2016 that will ensure fans won't miss a single pitch this summer, no matter where they are.

Time Warner Cable SportsChannel 323 will broadcast 36 games in HD on television while ESPN 1520 AM will serve as the flagship station of the Bisons Baseball Network. The radio home of the Toronto Blue Jays, Sportsnet 590 The FAN will broadcast 14 games starting in June, while fans in the Southern Tier can tune in all season long on WGG0 1590 AM in Salamanca and WOEN 1360 AM in Olean.

Fans can stream the audio of all 144 Bisons games on the TuneIn Radio App and on Bisons.com, while a webcast of every International League game can be seen with an MiLB.tv subscription.

TELEVSION:
For a 10th consecutive season, select Bisons games will air LIVE and in high-definition on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel 323. A schedule of 36 games, including 11 road games against rivals Rochester and Syracuse, will begin with Buffalo's home opener on April 14 against the Red Wings (2:05 p.m.). Bisons fans will be able to see their team take on the Triple-A farm clubs of the New York Yankees (Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, August 30), Boston Red Sox (Pawtucket, May 20) and Cleveland Indians (Columbus, May 31).

RADIO:
The 2016 season represents the ninth straight year that ESPN 1520 AM of Entercom Broadcasting of Buffalo will serve as the flagship station for the Bisons Baseball Network. All 144 Bisons games will air on the station's strong 50,000-watt signal and include a 30-minute pre-game show and a postgame wrap-up show with highlights and player interviews. ESPN 1520 AM will also air the 2016 Triple-A All-Star Game, to be played on Wednesday, July 13 at BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte, NC, and the 2016 Gildan Triple-A National Championship on Tuesday, September 20 from AutoZone Park in Memphis, TN.

Every year since 2013, baseball fans throughout Ontario have enjoyed following the future of their favorite team by tuning into the radio home of the Toronto Blue Jays, Sportsnet 590 The FAN. This year's slate of 14 Bisons games will begin on June 20 with eight broadcasts in July and four more in August as the International League playoff chase heats up.

In the Southern Tier, WGG0 1590 AM in Salamanca and WOEN 1360 AM in Olean will carry the live action of all 144 Bisons games in 2016.

ONLINE:
Fans can take Bisons baseball wherever they go by downloading the TuneIn Radio App, which is free in the iTunes and Google Play stores. Just search 'Buffalo Bisons' to find the team's channel. Fans can also access a free audio stream by visiting Bisons.com on their computers or mobile devices, or by downloading Minor League Baseball's free First Pitch App.

With MiLB.tv, fans can watch the live broadcast of over 5,000 minor league games, including every Bisons game home and road, for a subscription fee of just $49.99. These broadcasts can be accessed on Bisons.com as well as with the First Pitch App for mobile devices.

BROADCAST TEAM:
Bisons broadcasts will feature Ben Wagner, who has served as "The Voice of the Bisons" since 2007, as well as the color commentary of Buffalo Baseball Hall of Famer, Duke McGuire, and WGR Sportsradio 550's, Pat Malacaro. For road games watched on television and through an MiLB.tv subscription, the announcing duties will be handled by the opposing teams' broadcasters.
