2017 Autograph Appearance Lineup

1974 NL MVP Steve Garvey will visit Frontier Field on June 20

Each season, the Rochester Red Wings offer their fans the opportunity to get a FREE autograph from former Major League Baseball and NFL stars, as part of our promotional schedule. Over the past few years, Wings fans have enjoyed appearances by Baseball Hall of Famers Paul Molitor, Rich "Goose" Gossage, Bert Blyleven, Dennis Eckersley and Rollie Fingers as well as and former big league stars including Jim Rice, Fred Lynn, Dave Stewart, Doc Gooden, Darryl Strawberry and many more.

To ensure that as many fans as possible have the chance to meet our special guests and get an autograph, fans are reminded that:

  • There is a limit of one autograph per fan.
  • There will be a posted time frame for the autograph sessions (listed below).
  • Time does not permit fans to ask to pose for individual photos with our guests.
  • There may be a restriction on what type of items will be signed and personal inscriptions are at the sole discretion of our guest.
  • The autograph session will take place regardless of the weather, and regardless of whether the game is delayed or played. The gates will open at the scheduled time regardless of the weather conditions.

Other autograph appearances in 2017 that are NOT listed below include Camren Bicondova (Selina Kyle from the TV show Gotham) as part of Batman Night on June 24, the Hanson Brothers as part of our Salute to Slap Shot Night on July 8 and Dennis Haskins (Mr. Belding from Saved by the Bell) on August 23 as part of our Back to School Night!

DWIER BROWN (John Kinsella) -- Sunday, June 11 (1:35 pm)

Dwier BrownBrown will sign from 12:30-1:15 pm and again from 1:45-2:30 pm. "Wanna have a catch?" Brown is most known for his role as John Kinsella, the father of Kevin Costner's character, Ray Kinsella, in Field of Dreams. Not only will Brown be signing autographs at Frontier Field, but he'll also be available for a game of catch with all fans after the game as we celebrate Father's Day a week early!

 
 
 
 
 
STEVE GARVEY -- Tuesday, June 20 (7:05 pm) presented by High Falls Advisors

Steve GarveyGarvey will sign from 6:00-6:45 pm and again from 7:15-8:00 pm. Garvey was the 1974 National League Most Valuable Player Award winner, a two-time National League Championship Series MVP (1978 and 1984), a 10-time All-Star, and a two-time MVP of the All-Star Game (1974 and 1978). He also holds the National League record for consecutive games played (1,207). The 13th overall pick of the Dodgers in 1968, Garvey went on to play 19 MLB seasons hitting .294 with 272 home runs and 1,308 RBI. The Tampa native hit .338 over 55 career postseason games - including a .319 clip in 28 World Series games.

 
 
JACK MORRIS -- Thursday, June 22 (7:05 pm) courtesy of the Rochester Area Honda Dealers

Jack MorrisMorris will sign from 6:00-6:45 pm and again from 7:15-8:00 pm. Morris was a five-time All-Star (1981, 1984, 1985, 1987, and 1991), and played on four World Series Championship teams (1984 Tigers, 1991 Minnesota Twins, and 1992-1993 Toronto Blue Jays). While he gave up the most hits, most earned runs, and most home runs of any pitcher in the 1980s, he also started the most games, pitched the most innings, and had the most wins of any pitcher in that decade. Morris pitched a 10-inning shutout in Game 7 of the 1991 World Series against the Atlanta Braves to win MVP honors.

Don BeebeBeebe will sign from 6:00-6:45 pm and again from 7:15-8:00 pm. Beebe was a wide receiver and special teams player who played for the Buffalo Bills during all four of their Super Bowl runs. He also played for the Carolina Panthers (1995) and Green Bay Packers (1996-1997) and is considered one of the fastest players in NFL history with a recorded 4.21 40-yard dash time. After four straight losses with the Bills in the Super Bowl, Beebe finally got his ring with the Packers in Super Bowl XXXI against the New England Patriots. In fact, he appeared in SIX Super Bowls in his nine-year NFL career. 

 
 
MIKE TIMLIN -- Wednesday, July 19 (7:05 pm)

Mike TimlinTimlin will sign from 6:00-6:45 pm and again from 7:15-8:00 pm. Timlin won four World Series titles over his 18-year Major League career. He was on Toronto's 1992 and 1993 championship teams and helped Boston break the curse in 2004 and again in 2007. He posted a career ERA of 3.63 over 1,058 outings. He made 46 postseason appearances and earned his only career postseason save in Game 6 of the 1992 World Series to help the Jays clinch the series over Atlanta.

 
 
 
 
THURMAN THOMAS -- Friday, July 21 (6:05 pm) courtesy of Batavia Downs Gaming & Race Track

Thurman ThomasThomas will sign from 5:00-5:30 pm and there will be a limit of one autograph per person. Mr. Thomas will not be able to personalize or write the inscription "Hall of Fame" on any items. Thomas currently holds the all-time Buffalo Bills rushing record with 11,938 yards and the team record for yards from scrimmage with 16,279 over 12 years. He is also 4th overall in team scoring. Overall, Thomas finished his 13 seasons (his 13th season he played for Miami) with 12,074 rushing yards, 472 receptions for 4,458 yards, and 88 touchdowns (65 rushing and 23 receiving) with 16,532 total yards from scrimmage. He is one of six players (Jim Brown, Lenny Moore, Marcus Allen, Marshall Faulk, and Herschel Walker) to exceed 60 TDs rushing and 20 TDs receiving.
