PREVIEW:
The Red Wings have All-Star LHP Jason Wheeler making his thirteenth start of the season. So far this year he is 6-1 with a 2.64 ERA. He has faced Syracuse twice this season with the most recent of the two being on May 13 at Frontier Field when Wheeler finished with the no decision. In that outing he pitched six innings allowing five hits, two earned runs and one walk while striking out nine. He will be opposed by RHP A.J. Cole. Cole is 6-4 with a 4.35 ERA this season. This will be his third start of the year against the Red Wings, with his most recent also on May 13 here at Frontier Field. He also took the no decision in the outing throwing five innings giving up eight hits, three earned runs, and three walks while punching out seven batters.
Player to Watch: Syracuse
SS Trea Turner is 14-for-41 (.341) with two home runs, seven runs batted in and nine runs scored in his last ten games.

Double-A Chattanooga defeated the Pensacola Blue Wahoos Thursday by a 7-3 final. RF Daniel Palka helped pace the offense with his 20th homer of the season in the fourth inning, he finished 2-5 with two RBI and a run scored. Ryan Eades was credited with the win for the Lookouts, going six innings giving up four hits, one earned run and three walks while punching out six.
