MIDDLE INNINGS TOUGH ON PITCHING

July 1, 2016

After the Lookouts took an early lead the Blue Wahoos used the fourth and fifth innings to finally win a 10-8 slugfest. Stephen Gonsalves was blisterd for six earned runs in his three and two thirds innings. Mitch Garver had given him a 2-0 lead with a home run in the first. Garver would have four RBI on the night leading a five run surge in the eighth only to fall short in the loss. Niko Goodrum returned to the team with a three hit night but had a shakey defenseive effort in centerfield. Travis Harrison would end an 0-24 drought with an eighth inning home run but the Lookouts would leave the tying run stranded in the ninth. The two teams will meet for game four tomorrow night with the Lookouts Aaron Slegers (6-4.3.38) facing Sal Romano (1-8,4.82). Pre game on 96.1 The Legend is set for 7:15 EDT.
