PREVIEW:
After dropping a 3-1 game Sunday afternoon, the Red Wings need a win to stay in the Il wild card race. The Wings trail Lehigh Valley by 4.5 games entering play Monday; the IronPigs play in Buffalo tonight.
RHP Tyler Duffey makes his first start after being optioned to the Wings last week. Duffey was 0-0 with a 1.72 ERA in three starts before his promotion to Minnesota in April. With the Twins, Duffey was 8-10, 6.24 in 22 starts. Duffey struck out eight batters three different times in the big leagues, and nine batters twice. He had a no decision in Scranton on Opening Day (two hits, no runs in 4.0 IP). RHP Brady Lail (6-5, 4.79 ERA) starts tonight for the RailRiders, who clinched a playoff spot with the win Sunday. Lail lost his last start Aug. 23 at Lehigh Valley (5.2 IP, 5 H, 2 R/2 ER, 4 BB, 2 SO). Lail is 1-0 with a 9.00 ERA in one start vs. the Wings this season.

3B Donovan Solano is hitting .410 (16-for-39) in his last 10 games with one homer and two RBI.

Double-A Chattanooga lost to Mississippi 5-4 Sunday. OF Zach Granite had three hits adn stole his 51st base of the season. RHP Aaron Slegers pitched 7.0 innings and allowed just two earned runs, striking out six.
