Mark Payton's two-out single in the bottom of the 11th inning gave the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders a 5-4 win over the Rochester Red Wings Saturday in Pennsylvania.

The RailRiders took an early lead when rookie Dustin Fowler hit a two-run homer off Red Wings starter Nick Tepesch. Another rookie, Mike Ford, added a solo shot for a 3-0 'Riders lead. It was Ford's fourth home run in his past five games.
The Red Wings got one run back in the top of the second inning, when John Ryan Murphy's RBI single off Caleb Smith brought home Niko Goodrum. In the bottom of the second, Irondequoit's Cito Culver hit his sixth home run of the season, increasing Scranton's lead to 4-1.
ByungHo Park hit his second homer of the season, a two-run shot in the top of the sixth which made it a one-run game at 4-3. After a walk with two outs in the sixth, Smith was replaced by former Red Wing J.R. Graham. Smith worked 5.2 innings, allowing eight hits and three earned runs with a walk and five strikeouts. Smith threw 104 pitches, 64 for strikes.
Tepesch settled down after the second inning, and allowed just a pair of singles over the next four innings. Tepesch worked six innings and allowed five hits and four earned runs, with a walk and two strikeouts. Tepesch threw 87 strikeouts, 60 for strikes.
In the top of the seventh, Graham walked the first two Wings batters he faced, and Tyler Webb took over for Graham. Webb struck out Matt Hague, but Daniel Palka singled and a throwing error on the play allowed Engelb Vielma to score to tie the game 4-4.
Alex Wimmers pitched the bottom of the seventh, setting down the side with three strikeouts. In the eighth inning, Scranton had runners at first and second with two out but Wimmers got a groundball out to end the threat and the inning.
D.J. Baxendale took over for Wimmers and worked the 9th and 10th innings, but in the 11th inning the RailRiders had the bases loaded via three walks (one intentional). That's when Payton singled to give the RailRiders the win.
The Red Wings out-hit the RailRiders 10-9. Five of the Wings hits were for extra bases.
