WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (July 23, 2017) - In a game that featured 21 runs, 13 of which came after the seventh inning, Joel Booker's walk-off single capped a three-run 11th frame and propelled Winston-Salem to an 11-10 victory over the Salem Red Sox on Sunday at BB&T Ballpark.
Trailing 10-8 in the bottom of the 11th, Eloy Jiménez led off the frame with a double off the top of the center field wall for his career-best fifth hit of the afternoon. The next batter, slugger Brandon Dulin, crushed a two-run shot on the first pitch he saw from Salem reliever Stephen Nogosek (2-1) to tie the game at 10-10.

Brady Conlan followed that blast up with a double to left that just missed leaving the yard. Yeyson Yrizarri then laid down a sacrifice bunt to move Conlan to third and set up Booker's heroics. On an 0-2 pitch, the Columbus, N.C., native dribbled a grounder through the drawn-in infield to plate Conlan and send Winston-Salem (14-15, 38-61) home victorious.
Jimenez, MLB Pipeline's eighth-best prospect in baseball, had a career day at the plate, going 5-for-6 with three RBIs, a home run, two doubles and a pair of singles.
Six Winston sluggers registered multi-hit efforts, while four notched multi-RBI games.
Kelvis Valerio (3-3) earned the victory with three innings of relief in which he allowed two earned runs and struck out one.
The back-and-forth affair was a theme throughout the afternoon, but most notably in extra innings. Down 6-5 in the ninth, the Dash stirred their first rally against Nogosek on Jimenez's second single of the day to tie the game at six.
VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS FROM SUNDAY'S WIN
Salem (19-11, 59-40) would take a short-lived 8-6 lead in the top of the 10th on a wild pitch by Valerio and a run-scoring knock by Jeremy Rivera, but Winston-Salem would strike right back in the bottom of the frame.
Jameson Fisher provided the defining at-bat of the frame, lofting a two-run shot into the Foothills Brew Pen for his fourth of the season to knot the game up at eight.
In the 11th, solo homers from Jordan Betts and Jose Sermo gave the Red Sox their last lead of the game at 10-8, which set the stage for the Dash's late-inning comeback win.
Ian Clarkin was solid in his Winston-Salem debut, spinning five innings and allowing two runs on five hits while striking out four.
The Dash now embark on a seven-game road trip through Buies Creek and Lynchburg. On Monday, Winston-Salem will open up a three-game series with the first-place Astros at 7 p.m. from Jim Perry Stadium, with left-hander Bernardo Flores (0-3, 6.75 ERA) taking the ball in the series opener against Buies Creek southpaw Ryan Hartman (1-3, 3.18 ERA). Coverage will begin at 6:45 p.m. on wsdash.com/broadcast and the TuneIn Radio App.
