He's been one of the most consistent pitchers in the Carolina League in the second half, and now Dash right-hander Jonathan Stiever joins the podcast! New month, new podcast! On this edition of the Dash of Everything Podcast, Joe Weil and Conor Clingen take a look at some of the biggest stars of the 2019 season thus far and chat with Dash right-hander Lincoln Henzman. Luis Robert has been called up to Double-A Birmingham, but he left quite the impression on this team. We bring you sound from Dash hitting coach Jamie Dismuke (2:33), who says Robert is the most talented player he's ever coached. We also bring you some sound Alec Hansen, who has allowed just one hit through 12.2 innings. Alec shares how he got away from the game after 2018 (5:00) and why he is in the bullpen to start the season (6:52). Episode 2 (Nick Madrigal) - April 5, 2019
Our first in-season episode of 2019 is here! On this edition of the Dash of Everything Podcast, Joe Weil and Conor Clingen sit down with Dash second baseman and former first-round pick Nick Madrigal. Nick talks about getting to know Yolmer Sanchez and Tim Anderson (3:40), working with former Dash manager Omar Vizquel (6:40), rookie initiation during Spring Training (8:45), playing for the Dash last year (10:55), his time at Oregon State (13:50), his competitiveness with his twin brother Ty (15:20) and much more. The Dash of Everything Podcast is back! Our first episode of 2019 features a chat with the "Voice of the Dash" Joe Weil and Dash pitching coach Matt Zaleski, who will return for the second straight year. Matt chats about his early White Sox fandom (8:00), when he realized he could make a career around baseball (11:30) and playing with Chris Sale and Carlos Rodon (18:30). Matt also talks about his star prospect Dylan Cease (20:30), the effect of analytics on the Dash staff (26:30) and the pitcher he felt made the most progress this year (33:40).
