51s Host New Orleans & Round Rock from June 5-11

The 51s will host American Conference opponents New Orleans & Round Rock in a 7-game homestand from June 5-11!

LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s PROFESSIONAL baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, will open a seven-game homestand against the American Conference on Tuesday, June 5 against the New Orleans Baby Cakes, Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, at Cashman Field

LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s PROFESSIONAL baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, will open a seven-game homestand against the American Conference on Tuesday, June 5 against the New Orleans Baby Cakes, Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins, at Cashman Field at 7:05 p.m. The three-game series against New Orleans (all games at 7:05 p.m.) will conclude on Thursday, June 7. Las Vegas will then host the Round Rock Express, Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, in a four-game series, from Friday-Monday, June 8-11. All games at 7:05 p.m. except for the matinee contest on Sunday, June 10 at 12:05 p.m.
The 51s, under manager Tony DeFrancesco, are currently on a five-game road trip in Northern Nevada against intrastate rival, the Reno Aces, Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. The series against the Aces at Greater Nevada Field will conclude on Sunday, June 3. The PCL then has a scheduled off day on Monday, June 4.
The 51s organization have the proud distinction of being the longest enduring franchise in the history of professional sports in the state of Nevada.
2018 CASHMAN FIELD ATTENDANCE: In 29 dates, Las Vegas total is 148,056 for an average of 5,105. The season-high crowd is 9,003 vs. Fresno on April 20. The Las Vegas franchise has reached the 300,000 mark in "home" attendance in all 35 seasons (1983-2017). The all-time attendance total now stands at 11,816,843.
MiLB Es Divertido Ser Un Fan - "It's Fun To Be A Fan Campaign!" The 51s will transform to the Las Vegas Reyes de Plata ("Silver Kings") eight times during the 2018 season at Cashman Field. The opener of the three-game series against New Orleans on Tuesday, June 5 will feature Reyes de Plata!  The remaining dates are: Tuesday, July 24, August 21, August 28.
MiLB (on July 24, 2017) launched Es Divertido Ser Un Fan, a new multi-cultural fan engagement platform aimed at specifically connecting with Hispanic/Latino baseball fans in 160 markets throughout the U.S. and Canada. The program debuted in August of 2017 in select MiLB markets, including Las Vegas, Charlotte, North Carolina; Kane County, Illinois; and Visalia, California, with national expansion in the 2018 season. The Las Vegas Reyes de Plata will take the field celebrating the city and state's pioneering history at the forefront of the precious metal mining business that continues to define the Silver State today.
Budweiser Dollar Beer Night, presented by Laughlin, will be featured in the series finale against New Orleans on Thursday, June 7. Dollar Beer Night will be featured at every Thursday home game during the 2018 season. Proper identification and wristbands are required for dollar beer night.
A spectacular post-game Fireworks Show, presented by Findlay Toyota, will be featured in the series opener against Round Rock on Friday, June 8.
51s T-Shirt Night, presented by HealthCare Partners, to the first 2,500 fans through the gates (open at 6 p.m.), will be featured in game two of the series on Saturday, June 9.
"Smith's Value Menu Monday" will be presented in the finale of the seven-game homestand against the Express on June 11. Monday "home" games will feature a "Value Menu" for the 10th straight season! The 51s and Centerplate have teamed together for discounted food items on Hot Dogs, Popcorn, Peanuts, Cracker Jack, Pretzels and Churros for just $1.00 per item.
WestStar Credit Union "Winning Wednesday" will be featured SEVEN times during the 2018 season. The remaining dates are: June 6 vs. New Orleans; July 25 vs. Nashville; August 22 vs. Salt Lake; August 29 vs. Tacoma.
If the 51s WIN, fans can redeem their tickets for a future Sunday through Tuesday "home" game (excluding Tuesday, July 3 - Fireworks Extravaganza). In addition, each "WestStar Winning Wednesday," one lucky fan will also be randomly selected to be the WestStar Winner of the Game! The winning fan will receive an autographed baseball from a 51s player, a seat upgrade for their group, and the opportunity to become the guest PA announcer for a half-inning that night!
New Orleans' roster features one of the top 10 prospects in the Marlins organization, according to Baseball America: left-handed pitcher Dillon Peters (No. 5).
Round Rock's roster features two of the top 10 prospects in the Rangers organization, according to Baseball America: top prospect, outfielder Willie Calhoun and left-handed pitcher Yohander Méndez (No. 5).
In addition, right-hander Tyler Wagner is in his second season in the Texas organization. He was born and raised in Las Vegas and is a 2009 graduate of Bishop Gorman High School. He attended the University of Utah and was selected by Milwaukee in the fourth round of the 2012 June Draft. He made his Major League debut with the Brewers vs. Arizona on May 31, 2015.
Following the homestand, the PCL has a scheduled off day for Tuesday, June 12. The 51s will embark on a seven-game road trip beginning on Wednesday, June 13 in Colorado Springs, Colo., against the Sky Sox, Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The three-game series will conclude on Friday, June 15. Las Vegas will then travel to Oklahoma City, Okla., to face the Dodgers, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, in a four-game series from Saturday-Tuesday, June 16-19. The Dodgers have the best record in the 16-team PCL at 33-19 (.635). The PCL will then have another scheduled off day on Wednesday, June 20.
The 51s will broadcast all games on Lotus Broadcasting on NBC Sports Radio AM 920 'THE GAME', which will carry live all 140 regular season games. Also, all games will be available on the 51s website (Major League Baseball Advanced Media, MLBAM) at www.LV51.com. Russ Langer, the 10-time Nevada Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (NSSA), is in his 19th season behind the microphone calling 51s baseball.    
         
All 51s games (home & away) will also be broadcast on MiLB.TV via LV51.com.
Tickets for all 51s home games can be purchased at the SCE Federal Credit Union Box Office at Cashman Field. The box office is open Monday-Friday (non-game days) from Noon to 4:30 p.m. Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster (1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com).
The individual game tickets for the 70-game home season are priced at $11.00 (reserved, $12.00-Day of Game); $14.00 (plaza, $15.00-Day of Game) and $17.00 (field, $18.00-Day of Game) & the blue dugout seats at $30.00 ($35-Day of Game). The traditional $2.00 discount for Military personnel is offered on plaza, field and reserved seats throughout the season.
