Indians Bounce Back to Top Tri-City, 8-7
Spokane, WASH. - A crowd of 4,466 humans and 64 dogs saw the Spokane Indians come back from a 4-0 deficit to defeat the Tri-City Dust Devils 8-7 on Bark in the Park #3 presented by New Belgium Brewery, KAYU FOX 28, 103.9 BOB FM, 94.1 The Bear, and Nspire
Spokane, WASH. - A crowd of 4,466 humans and 64 dogs saw the Spokane Indians come back from a 4-0 deficit to defeat the Tri-City Dust Devils 8-7 on Bark in the Park #3 presented by New Belgium Brewery, KAYU FOX 28, 103.9 BOB FM, 94.1 The Bear, and Nspire Spokane. The win moves Spokane to just a game back of Tri-City and Vancouver for first place in the Northwest League North Division.
After a rocky first inning, the Indians found themselves trailing 4-0. Although they were down, the home team found new life in the second innings thanks to one swing by
The long ball continued to spark the Spokane offense as the game moved to the fourth inning.
Later in the fifth inning, O'Banion picked up his second RBI of the game and finished the night 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. Spokane brought home another run in the sixth inning, thanks to Clay Middleton drawing a walk with the bases loaded. That run made the game 8-6 in favor of Spokane and proved to be the game-winner with an 8-7 final score.
2017 first round pick Chris Seise had his first four-hit night as an Indian. The shortstop finished 4-5 with an RBI. Aparicio and Terry also finished with multi-hit nights.
