To honor the Ripken family legacy in Harford County and the great State of Maryland, the IronBirds, owned by Bill and Cal Ripken, Jr., will re-brand our identity for one night only! The evening will celebrate the Ripken family, Bill and Cal's respective on-field legacies and the legacy of the family in Harford County - we can't celebrate the evening without learning more about what led Cal and Bill to bring Minor League and youth baseball to Aberdeen and Harford County and to continue working to develop the youth baseball game around the world.
The special Aberdeen Legacy uniforms will feature a black-and-orange-themed design and will have a home plate-shaped patch with Cal Jr., Cal Sr., and Bill's numbers; 8, 7, & 3, on the right sleeve. The left sleeve patch features Cal and Bill's iconic defensive silhouettes. The Legacy's hats pay tribute to the Iron Man's historic career with Cal Jr's swing silhouette on the front and 2632, the number of consecutive games the Iron Man played, embroidered on the side.
