Biscuits Announce 2018 Theme Nights

The MAX Capital City Classic between Auburn University and the University of Alabama baseball programs kicks off the spring for the Biscuits on Tuesday, March 27th at 6:35 PM. Last year's game drew a record 7,605 guests to Riverwalk Stadium so fans are encouraged to get their tickets early when they go on sale on Monday, January 22nd. The regular season begins with a BANG on April 5th, as the Biscuits celebrate "Opening Night" with MAX Fireworks and the return of the Human Cannonball, a performer who will shoot himself out of a cannon from centerfield and land in a safety net at home plate! Opening Weekend concludes with the "Maxwell AFB Centennial Celebration" on April 6th, "Fantasy Night" on April 7th, and the first two giveaways of the year with a kids t-shirt on April 8th and a Biscuits hat on April 9th.
One of the big new promotions for April will be "Joy to Life's Pink Out the Park Night" on Friday, April 20th, in which the Biscuits are teaming up with Joy to Life's "Walk of Life" with special ticket offers for any participants of the walk on the following day, as well as the Biscuits donning specially made pink jerseys on-field which will be auctioned off to fans after the game with all proceeds going to Joy to Life.
The Biscuits will also be celebrating their parent affiliate, the Tampa Bay Rays, with "Rays Night", appropriately on Mother's Day, May 13th. The Rays' beloved mascots Raymond and DJ Kitty will return to Riverwalk Stadium to entertain fans and help hand out a Rays-themed baseball to the first 500 kids in attendance.
June will be an incredibly fun-filled month for Biscuits fans, starting off with "Gump in the Gump" on Friday, June 1st. The Biscuits will pay tribute to the popular film "Forrest Gump", with in-game promotions and video clips. The Biscuits will also celebrate Forrest's fictional Alabama hometown of Greenbow, Alabama complete with faux-back jerseys of the "Greenbow Biscuits", designed in the styles of professional teams from the 1950's.
Towards the end of June, the Biscuits will honor all the backyard stickball players and big league dreamers with the "25th Anniversary Celebration of 'The Sandlot'" on Sunday, June 24th. The first 500 kids through the gates will receive a Biscuits replica jersey, and that day's game will feature audio/visual clips and promotions honoring the popular baseball movie from 1993. The game also happens to be a Bark in the Park promotion, so fans are encouraged to bring their own versions of "Hercules/The Beast" to the park!
One of the more unique new promotions the Biscuits will be hosting this year will be on Saturday, July 21st with "Millennial Night". The Biscuits will be handing out participation ribbons to any fan who attends the game, have designated selfie and napping stations, and have educational seminars teaching fans about a time before the internet.
