COVID-19 FAQ

The 2021 season began with reduced stadium capacity based on local and regional conditions related to the Covid-19 virus. The reduced stadium capacity will run through our game on Sunday, May 30 when we will return to near full-capacity status. EFFECTIVE August 10, 2021, masks will be required to be worn in any closed area located in the ballpark accessed by the public. There may be some modifications made to the schedule given the fluid nature of Covid-19; those changes (if any) will be determined by the Commissioner of Major League Baseball.

We will continue to update this page with Covid-19 specific updates as warranted, so please check back periodically.

FACE MASKS UPDATED: Face masks will be required to be worn by patrons going into an indoor location inside the ballpark beginning August 10, 2021. This means that fans attending the game in the Diamond View Restaurant or visiting the stadium team shop will need to wear a mask while in those locations. All stadium guests shall respect each fan’s personal choice to either wear or not wear a mask or face covering.

ENHANCED CLEANING & SANITATION: Enhanced daily cleaning procedures include frequent wipe downs of high touch areas such as countertops, railings, doorknobs and elevators, nightly disinfection of all interior areas, and frequent trash removal. Use of EPA-certified cleaning products with reduced dwell times will be used. Restrooms will be cleaned multiple times throughout each game. Hand Sanitizer stations will be located throughout the ballpark.

Q: Can I bring a bag into the stadium this season?

The Baysox have enacted a new bag policy for the 2021 season, limiting the types of bags carried into the stadium, not the items that fans normally bring to a game. Beginning this season. each fan may carry one (1) clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag OR a one-gallon clear Ziploc style bag plus a small clutch. The larger clear bag must be a standard 12-inch by 6-inch by 12-inch bag that is easily searched. Fans carrying bags that do not meet the criteria will be turned away from the stadium to return their bag to their vehicles. Additional information can be found here.
