So…now that it’s 2021, what’s up at the Bowie Baysox?
Earlier this year, the Bowie Baysox and Baltimore Orioles signed an agreement that will keep the O’s Double-A Affiliate in Maryland for 10 years!
We have a schedule that has the Championship Season starting on May 4th and ending on September 19th. Opening Night at Prince George’s Stadium is scheduled for May 11th. There may yet be some modifications made to the schedule given the fluid nature of Covid-19; those changes (if any) will be determined by the Commissioner of Major League Baseball.
We are anticipating starting the 2021 season with a reduced capacity based on local and regional conditions related to the Covid-19 virus. As we get closer to the season, we will have more information to announce regarding our ticketing plan and seating capacity after consulting with Prince George’s County, the State of Maryland and Major League Baseball.
This is not a complete accounting of all the updates for 2021! More information will be shared as soon as details such as capacity, single-game ticket on-sale dates and further policies have been announced.
