Baysox, Senators Suspended Due to Rain on Tuesday

Tuesday's Game Will Be Resumed in Top of Seventh Inning on Wednesday

BOWIE, Md. - The Bowie Baysox and Harrisburg Senators were suspended due to heavy rain in the top of the seventh inning in Tuesday's scheduled seven-inning contest.

Khayyan Norfork was at the plate for Harrisburg with LHP Paul Fry on the mound for the Baysox at the start of the top of the seventh.
The game will be resumed on Wednesday, May 16 at 11:05 a.m. with a nine-inning contest to follow the completion of tonight's game. Gates will open at 9:30 a.m.
Fans who have tickets dated for today's game, tickets marked with today's date of May 15th may exchange their tickets at any time at the Bowie Baysox ticket office located at Prince George's Stadium for an equal value ticket for any remaining Bowie Baysox home game during the 2018 regular season.
Harrisburg won the resumption of Monday's suspended game by a score of 8-2.
Game One
In a resumption of Monday's suspended game, the Bowie Baysox fell to the Harrisburg Senators by a score of 8-2 on Tuesday night at Prince George's Stadium in Bowie.
The Senators put up a four-spot in the first to grab an early 4-0 lead as Zach Collier delivered the big blow in the frame with a two-run single. The first five batters in the inning reached safely for Harrisburg courtesy of three walks and a pair of singles including an RBI single from Juan Soto .
Baysox starter Michael Kelly (0-3) did not record an out and was charged with four runs on two hits to go along with three walks in the frame.
A pair of walks and a single loaded the bases for Harrisburg in the third before Osvaldo Abreu drove home a pair with a two-out, two-run double to stretch the lead to 6-0. Both runs were charged to Baysox LHP Luis Ysla (3.0 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 BB, 4 K).
Drew Ward's solo shot in the top of the fifth stretched the Senators' lead to 7-0.
The Baysox got on the board in the home half of the frame as Erick Salcedo got on base with a one-out single, went to third on an Anderson Feliz single and scored on Anthony Santander's RBI single.
RHP Austen Williams gave up one run on six hits to go along with six strikeouts in 4.0 IP and got the win for Harrisburg to even his record at 1-1.
Martin Cervenka's solo shot in the home half of the seventh brought the Baysox within 8-2. The home run was Cervenka's second of the season.
Senators starter Jefry Rodriguez (n/d) surrendered one hit while fanning two in two innings of work.
Cervenka (2-4, HR, RBI, R), Feliz (2-4) and Salcedo (2-4, R) all had multi-hit games for manager Gary Kendall's squad.
LHP John Means surrendered two runs on four hits while walking three and fanning three in six innings of relief for Bowie.
The series wraps up on Wednesday at 10:35 a.m. as LHP Keegan Akin (4-3, 2.75) gets the start for Bowie against Harrisburg RHP Luis Reyes (2-4, 4.93).
Game Two
Harrisburg grabbed a 1-0 lead with a run in the first as Stephen Perez drew a one-out walk, advanced to second on a single and scored on Dan Gamache's RBI single.
The Baysox quickly struck back in the home half of the frame when Cedric Mullins led off with an infield single, stole second, took third on a groundout and scored on Ryan Mountcastle's two-out RBI double to tie the game at one apiece.
In the top of the third, a single and a walk put two men on before Juan Soto delivered an RBI single and Gamache plated a run via an RBI fielder's choice to give the Senators a 3-1 advantage.
Baysox starter Hunter Harvey gave up three runs on four hits while walking two and fanning five in four innings of work.
Bowie answered with three in the home half of the inning to take a 4-3 lead for the time being. A single and a walk had two men on before Anthony Santander came through with an RBI single, Mountcastle delivered a game-tying RBI double and Ademar Rifaela gave the Baysox the lead with a sac fly to right.
Harrisburg starter Kyle McGowin surrendered four runs on six hits to go along with a walk and seven strikeouts in 5.2 IP.
Ward drew a two-out walk in the sixth, Collier pinch-ran and scored from first to tie things at four when Abreu reached on an error charged to Mullins in CF on a dropped fly ball.
