Baysox Management

Brian Shallcross, General Manager

Brian joined the Baysox staff in 2003. He received his undergraduate B.A. degree from the College of William and Mary, where he also was the kicker on the William & Mary Football Team. He also received his Masters in Sports Administration from Ohio University. Brian hails originally from Pottstown, PA. He currently lives in Annapolis with his wife and two children.

Phil Wrye - Assistant General Manager & Director of Marketing

Phil joined the Baysox organization prior to the 1999 season as a member of the Ticket/Group Sales team. Throughout his time working for the Baysox, he has served the organization in many capacities, including Assistant Director of Marketing, Director of Marketing, On-Field Emcee, Public Address Announcer and many more. Prior to joining the Baysox, he worked for the Boston Red Sox and at the Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA. He is a proud alum of Southern New Hampshire University. Phil is an avid sports fan and fan of all Boston/New England Sports Teams. His wife and two children reside in Crofton.

Landon Ferrell - Business Manager

Landon joined the Baysox as Box Office Coordinator in 2014, later returning as the Box Office Manager for the 2015 season. He was promoted to the Baysox Business Manager in January, 2019. Before joining the Baysox, Landon was an intern for the West Virginia Power for the 2013 season, working in their box office as well. Prior to, Landon graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor's in Business Management and Master's degree in Sports Management.

Charlene Fewer - Director of Ticket Operations

Vinny Lewis - Group Events Manager

Vinny joined the Baysox ahead of the 2021 season as a Group Events Manager. Prior to joining the Baysox, he held a variety of gameday roles for the Orioles, Ravens and at the Naval Academy. In 2019, Vinny held his first front office role as the Merchandise Assistant for the Binghamton Rumble Ponies. Vinny holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management from Holy Family University. As a lifelong sports fan he spends a lot of his time watching games when he isn’t working one.

Gianni Cugini - Ticket Operations Assistant

Cugini brings local roots and New England experience to the Baysox, having spent time recently with the New England Revolution in Major League Soccer, as well as the Massachusetts Pirates of the Indoor Football League. He is a graduate of Dean College in Massachusetts, where he earned his degree in Sports Management. The Upper Marlboro native played lacrosse at Dean College, and is an avid sneakerhead.

Christian Robinson - Ticket Operations Assistant

Robinson is a recent graduate of Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, having earned his degree in Mass Communications. While at Lincoln University, Robinson interned with the Black Automotive Media Group and Audi of America, dubbed, “The Driving Force” and showcased his work in communications around the automotive industry. A member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Robinson hails from Washington D.C.

Matt McLaughlin - Director of Corporate Partnerships

Matt has been with the Bowie Baysox since 2004, when he started as an intern in the marketing department as a member of the Orange Ambassadors, then known as the Baysox Brigade. From there, he has moved up the front office ladder where he also spent time as a Group Events Manager and Sponsorship Manager. While he has spent most of his life in Maryland, he is a proud alumni of Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH where we graduated with a degree in Sport Management. You will often seem him proudly displaying his sports love for his Musketeers and the Stanley Cup Champion Washington Capitals.

Marketing, Promotions & Creative Services

Dani Fox - Marketing & Promotions Coordinator

Dani joined the Baysox prior to the start of the 2021 season as Marketing & Promotions Coordinator. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B.S in sport and entertainment management in 2020. She served as an Intern for the Sports Information Director at McDaniel College in 2015. She also worked as a Suite Attendant for Colonial Life Arena from 2017-2019. Prior to beginning with the Baysox, she was an Intern for the Frederick Keys in 2019 and was their office and promotions manager in 2020 before the minor league season was canceled. She has also worked at the Kentucky Derby, Breeders Cup and the National Wild Turkey Federation Convention.

Kyle Scott - Video Production Coordinator

Scott is a welcome return to the Baysox front office after working seasonally with the team’s video production efforts in 2021. Raised in Bowie, Scott earned his degree in Film from Full Sail University in 2017, and has done plenty of video work for music, film, and reality television. When not at the ballpark, Kyle enjoys scriptwriting and playing video games.

Media Relations & Broadcasting

Matt Sabados - Public Relations Coordinator & Lead Broadcaster

Matt Sabados was named the new Voice of the Baysox in March of 2022. No stranger to the Eastern League, Sabados spent the 2021 season working with the Erie SeaWolves, calling games and assisting in communications and content for the Detroit Tigers affiliate. Matt also made stops in the Minors with the Fayetteville Woodpeckers (Then-High-A, HOU) and the Lehigh Valley IronPigs (Triple-A, PHI). Sabados earned his degree in Mass Communications from Lindenwood University in his hometown of St. Louis.

Adam Pohl - Broadcaster

Adam Pohl - Lead Radio Broadcaster

Adam joined the Baysox in 2014 and serves as the team's broadcaster for select home and road games. Previously the Director of Broadcasting for the Baysox, Pohl also assisted in business development and sponsorship sales for the organization. Prior to joining the Baysox, Pohl was with the Burlington Indians (2003-04), Salem Avalanche (2005-06) and Frederick Keys (2007-13). He is also the lead voice of Mount St. Mary's Basketball in the NorthEast Conference. Pohl has broadcast the last three Orioles Minor League Championships (Frederick, 2007, 2011 and Bowie 2015) and has twice called games at the NCAA Tournament for The Mount (2014, 2017).

Field & Facility Operations

Justin Corsa - Stadium Operations Manager

Corsa is a native of York, Pennsylvania, and earned his degree in Sports Management from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. Well versed in stadium and event management, Corsa most recently worked with BEST Crowd Management, coordinating all staffing with athletic events held at Penn State University. Justin is just as familiar with baseball, after spending time with both the Myrtle Beach Pelicans (Then-High-A, CHC) and his hometown York Revolution.

Darlene Mingioli - Director of Game Day Staff

Darlene joined the Baysox in 1996 as an Usher. Then, in 2000, she became the Baysox Director of Game Day Personnel, overseeing all aspects of our game day staff who work Baysox home games. Prior to her time with the Baysox, Darlene spent 33 years with the Federal Government, including time as a Firearms Instructor and Criminal Investigator. She was also assigned to the protection detail for the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in 1991. She is a native of Washington DC and loves her Washington Redskins. She has many fond memories of attending "Washington Senators" games at the former "DC Stadium." When that team departed the area, she subsequently became an avid Orioles fan.
