BOWIE, MD – The Bowie Baysox are excited to announce a Free Kids Clinic on Sunday, June 11 as a part of MiLB’s PLAY BALL Weekend 2023. PLAY BALL Weekend is a league-wide initiative for clubs to engage with their surrounding communities and youth, and the Baysox are excited to give back to the community with a morning and afternoon of learning and fun.
The Free Kids Clinic will take place from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm on June 11, and is offered to all interested participants ages 6-13. Kids will get the opportunity to rotate between six stations and receive instruction from current collegiate baseball players throughout the morning and afternoon.
Kids are encouraged to bring their own gloves and bats to the clinic. If your child will need a glove or bat, please contact [email protected] for more information. It is also asked that children wear sneakers for the clinic. No cleats will be allowed. Children can also bring their own water bottles, with water filling stations being provided around the stadium.
The day will conclude with a free pizza party following the clinic for all those involved with water and juice provided as well. The first 200 kids will also receive a free bat and ball set, courtesy of Major League Baseball.
