2019 New Concession Options

Includes a reduction in pricing on select items and addition of new items

The Down East Wood Ducks unveiled changes to their concessions for 2019, which are highlighted by a reduction in pricing of select items and the addition of new menu items. The featured item that will see a price reduction is the Hot Dog as the everyday price will be reduced

The Down East Wood Ducks unveiled changes to their concessions for 2019, which are highlighted by a reduction in pricing of select items and the addition of new menu items. The featured item that will see a price reduction is the Hot Dog as the everyday price will be reduced from $4 to $3.25. The team will still feature a $1 Hot Dog Night for all Monday night games during the season.

Kinston, North Carolina - The Down East Wood Ducks unveiled changes to their concessions for 2019, which are highlighted by a reduction in pricing of select items and the addition of new menu items. The featured item that will see a price reduction is the Hot Dog as the everyday price will be reduced from $4 to $3.25. The team will still feature a $1 Hot Dog Night for all Monday night games during the season.
The items that have been reduced in price are part of the new "DEWD's Deals" menu which will also feature some new lower priced items including a Chicken Tender Sandwich ($3.25), a Meatball Slider ($3.25), and 16 oz Natural Light and Busch Light can beer ($4). Last season the average price of 16 oz can beer was $5.50. The Wood Ducks also announced that all Thirsty Thursday games will feature 12 oz cans of Natural Light and Busch Light for $1. Prior season have featured a 10 oz draft for $1.
"DEWDs Deals" will also include the 7.5 oz Pepsi can products that had previously only been served on Thursdays ($1.50), and an order of French fries for $3.25. Last season, the only option for fries was $5.50.  
In addition, the 3rd Base concession stand, which was built before the 2017 season, is being converted to a "County Fair" stand and will be the home to new concession items that fans might expect to find on the food trucks that have become a staple at Friday night games. The new County Fair menu items include: Chicken and Waffles Sandwich, a Foot Long Chili Cheese Dog, Funnel Cake Fries, and a Fried Twinkie. Prices are expected to range between $4-$8 for these items.
"We are constantly evaluating fan feedback and over the first 2 years we have heard concerns about concession pricing and have also seen how popular the foods served from food truck have been with our fans", said Wood Ducks Vice President Wade Howell. "I am really excited because the price reductions and County Fair Stand start to address both of these in 2019 as we strive to continue to make Wood Ducks Baseball games the most affordable family fun activity in Eastern North Carolina".
The Wood Ducks had previously announced that 2019 Season Tickets are on sale. Reserved Grandstand season tickets are available for $370 per seat and includes tickets to all 71 home games. Season tickets can be purchased online at www.woodducksbaseball.com, by calling the Wood Ducks Team Offices at 252-686-5172 or in the Wood Ducks Team Offices located at Grainger Stadium (Mon-Fri - 9am-5pm).
