Wilmington, Del. - Diosbel Arias hit two doubles and a triple, driving in a pair, as the Wood Ducks took down the Blue Rocks, 7-3, Sunday, to win the series, three games to one.

Down East (13-5) struck first in the fourth inning against Wilmington (11-7) starter Brady Singer (loss, 1-2). Arias led off with a double to left, advanced to third on an error, and scored on a sacrifice fly from Tyreque Reed to make it 1-0.
They then strung together a big two out rally in the fifth. It started when Yonny Hernandez was hit by a pitch, and Julio Pablo Martinez then singled through the right side. Leody Taveras then came through with a triple to left field to score a pair and make it 3-0. One batter later, Arias followed with a double down the right field line to increase the lead to 4-0.
Singer lasted six innings, giving up four runs (three earned), on seven hits, he walked one and struck out three.
Jason Bahr was solid through the first four innings, but lost the strike zone in the fifth, walking four, to plate a run. He was then lifted for Cole Uvila (win, 1-0) who gave up a sac fly, but followed it with a strikeout, to keep the damage to just two runs in the inning. Bahr worked 4.1 innings, giving up two runs on four hits, he walked five and struck out five. The win for Uvila was his first at the Advanced-A level.
The Wood Ducks continued to add on. Arias tripled home a run in the seventh to plate Martinez, who had reached on a fielder's choice earlier on in the frame. Then in the eighth, Reed led off with a double off the wall in center, and Melvin Novoa was hit by a pitch. They would each score, on a sac fly from Eric Jenkins and a double from Hernandez, respectively.
The Woodies used four bullpen arms in Michael Matuella , Peter Fairbanks , Josh Advocate , and Demarcus Evans to combine for one run allowed on three hits over the final four innings of the ballgame.
The win secures a 6-1 record on their first road trip of the year. They will be off tomorrow, before returning home on Tuesday to face the Lynchburg Hillcats in a three game series.
