TinCaps to Wear Jerseys Designed by Vera Bradley
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The TinCaps have donned some unique jerseys over the years. From Prom Night tuxedo jerseys to Social Media Night jerseys featuring the Twitter handles of more than 11,000 @TinCaps followers, the team has styled looks to catch one's attention. But never before has Fort Wayne mixed colorful florals, prints, and patterns for a whole new level of expression. That changes on July 27.
In partnership with Vera Bradley, the TinCaps will wear Ziggy Zinnia patterned jerseys when Fort Wayne hosts the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at Parkview Field on Sunday, July 27 at 1:05 p.m. Ziggy Zinnia is a new pattern for Vera Bradley's Fall 2014 line.
"Vera Bradley is a community leader and we're honored to be partners with them," TinCaps President Mike Nutter said. "I have no doubt this will be one of the best jerseys we've ever done and will be sought after by folks attending the game that day."
Though this is the first time Fort Wayne will suit up in Vera Bradley colors, it's not the first time the TinCaps and Vera Bradley have joined forces. In each year of the TinCaps' existence, the team has held a Turn the Park Pink Night at Parkview Field to raise money for the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.
"Vera Bradley supports the TinCaps," said Robert Wallstrom, Chief Executive Officer of Vera Bradley. "We'll be cheering for the team when they take on the Timber Rattlers wearing our colors on July 27!"
The Ziggy Zinnia pattern covers the sleeves of Fort Wayne's jerseys, as well as the block-lettered "TinCaps" on the front and uniform numbers on both the front and back. The rest of the jersey is black.
Vera Bradley is a leader in fashionable, colorful handbags, accessories, luggage, and paper gift items for women of every age. Founded in 1982, the company is headquartered in Fort Wayne. Never before has Vera Bradley incorporated one of their unique designs in a jersey for a professional sports team.
Every fan in attendance at the July 27 game has an opportunity to register to win one of these one-of-a-kind jerseys. Fans must enter by the final out of the fourth inning. The jerseys will be given to winners immediately after the game. For tickets, click here, visit the Parkview Field Ticket Office, or call 260-482-6400.
