FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Fort Wayne TinCaps have added two Peanut-Free games to the team's 2019 schedule. There will be no peanuts at Parkview Field on Friday, June 14, as well as on Wednesday, July 17.

"We understand that some of our fans have peanut allergies that prevent them from being able to enjoy the fun of a TinCaps game on a regular basis," said TinCaps President Mike Nutter. "This is an effort on our part to be inclusive and serve as many fans as we can."
Peanut-free games have become an annual tradition at Parkview Field, and elsewhere around Minor League Baseball. The TinCaps select dates at the beginning of a homestand so that while the team is away the ballpark can be thoroughly cleaned to discard any peanut residue.
June 14's 7:05 p.m. game against the Lake County Captains (Cleveland Indians affiliate) is also Pro Wrestling Night with special guest Road Warrior Animal. In addition, that night features Postgame Fireworks, plus it's a Boy Scout Overnight date.
July 17's 7:05 p.m. game against the Peoria Chiefs (St. Louis Cardinals affiliate) also doubles as a Bourbon Tasting Night for fans who purchase a special ticket in advance.
"We hope fans can help spread the word to those they know with a peanut allergy to join us at Parkview Field for these games," Nutter said.
Tickets for the TinCaps' Peanut-Free Nights-and all games-can be purchased at TinCapsTickets.com, by calling 260-482-6400, and at the Parkview Field Ticket Office.
