Connecticut's Students Need Veterans

Connecticut Troops to Teachers is a program for all service members and veterans to receive assistance in transitioning their leadership, core values and acquired skills to a career in teaching. Connecticut Troops to Teachers provides access to:

career counseling for veterans by veterans;
program coordinators and faculty advisors at each of the Connecticut State Universities;
committed veteran mentors from point of enrollment through successful employment;
a support network of aspiring and experienced veteran educators; and
hiring officials in Connecticut partner districts.

Hero Among Us Promotion

The Hero Among Us is an on-field promotion that honors a military service member from one of the five Armed Forces branches. The promotion takes place in the middle of the 3rd inning during every Hartford Yard Goats home game. The Hartford Yard Goats would like to thank Troops to Teachers and the Conneticut State Department of Education for making this special honor possible.
