HARRISBURG, VA- For the second time in three nights, the Harrisburg Senators walked off the Hartford Yard Goats, winning 4-3, before 4,274 Thursday night at FNB Field in Harrisburg. Daniel Johnson's one-out single off of Logan Cozart scored Hunter Jones to earn Harrisburg (59-55) the series win. Hartford (53-61) had tied the game in the top of the ninth inning on a pinch-hit RBI single by Roberto Ramos.
The Yard Goats wasted little time scoring two runs in the top of the first inning. Back-to-back singles by Drew Weeks and Sam Hilliard and a double into the left-field corner by Brian Mundell staked the Goats to a 2-0 advantage. Hartford starter Evan Grills turned in another quality start, shutting out the Senators for six innings on five hits. He struck out six and walked one.
Harrisburg mounted its comeback in the seventh inning against the Yard Goats bullpen, scoring three runs on an error, RBI-double by Alec Keller and a ground out by Carter Kieboom. Meanwhile, Senators' pitching retired 11 straight batters, before Hartford rallied in the ninth, setting the stage for Johnson's walk-off hit.
Weeks led the Yard Goats 10-hit attack with three hits, while Chris Rabago had two hits and Mundell a two-run double. Jones, Johnson, Kieboom and Keller each had two hits for Harrisburg. Reliever Dakota Backus notched the win (2-1), despite allowing the tying run in the ninth.
The Yard Goats return to Dunkin' Donuts Park Friday night at 7:05 to host the Bowie Baysox in a weekend three-game series. RHP Frank Duncan will pitch for Hartford against RHP Dillon Tate for Bowie. Tate was a pitching prospect for the Yankees, before the Orioles acquired him in a trade for reliever Zach Britton.  The game will be televised on Vantage Sportsnet, broadcast on AM 1410 WPOP and streamed on newsradio1410.iheart.com and MiLB.com.
