66ers Fall in Lake Elsinore

April 13, 2013

Lake Elsinore, CA- -The Lake Elsinore Storm (3-6) exacted some revenge on the Inland Empire 66ers (5-5) after being shut out at home on Friday night, the Strom turned things around Saturday for a 10-1 victory.

The 66ers scored the games opening run when Michael Snyder was able to score all the way from second base on a wild pitch. Unfortunately that would be the 66ers only run of the ball game.

Lake Elsinore was stymied by Inland Empire starter Danny Reynolds for the first nine batters of the game, but got to him with an RBI triple by Jace Peterson in the 3rd, a home run from Kyle Gaedele in the 4th and a two run homer from B.J. Guinn in the 6th.

For the first time all season the 66ers bullpen was less than stellar, permitting six runs in two innings of work.

The 66ers and Storm will wrap their series Sunday at the Diamond in Lake Elsinore. Start time is 2:05 PM and the game can be heard beginning with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Pre-Game Show at 1:55 PM on the home of 66ers baseball KCAA 1050 AM. The 66ers return home on Thursday, April 18th to face the San Jose Giants on Thirsty Thursday presented by Hangar 24. The home stand will include a Mike Trout fleece blanket giveaway on Saturday, April 20th presented by Just for Kids Dentistry.
