Captains Individual Game Tickets on Sale March 24

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, have announced that individual game tickets for the 2012 season will go on sale on Saturday, March 24 at 9 AM at the Classic Park box office, on the Internet at CaptainsBaseball.com and by telephone at 440-954-WINS (9467). Advance ticket prices and day of the game ticket prices for 2012 regular season games will remain the same as last season.

The Captains will have a special offer for any fan who visits Classic Park on March 24 and spends $100 on Captains tickets, ticket packages, merchandise, parking, gift cards, or a combination of any of these items. On this date only, any fan who spends $100 or more will receive two complimentary tickets to the Cleveland Indians game against newly acquired slugger Albert Pujols and the Anaheim Angels on Wednesday, July 4 at Progressive Field. After the game fans will be treated a special Independence Day Fireworks show.

Fans who come to Classic Park to buy their tickets on March 24 will also receive complimentary food and beverages, including complimentary tastings of several new menu items that will be introduced this season; free tours of Classic Park and weather permitting, kids get to take batting practice in the Captains indoor batting cages. The Captains will also offer a tasting of some of the new food items that will be served at the ballpark this summer available that morning.

Opening Day at Classic Park is Thursday, April 12 at 6:30 PM as the Captains welcome the Bowling Green Hot Rods. The Captains have many events planned for the evening to commemorate its Tenth Anniversary season, including the introduction of a season-long HD TV giveaway.

The Captains will host a total of 20 fireworks shows throughout the 2012 season, including nine shows on Friday nights and eight on Saturdays nights beginning in mid-May. There will also be two Sunday night shows.

The Captains signature night, "A Salute to Cleveland Sports History", will return for the fourth year and there are many premium giveaway items being planned as well. Christmas in July and Halloween will be back along with several Heritage Nights and four Faith Nights. The schedule is also highlighted by three special jersey auctions that help generate money for local non-profit partners and Captains Charities.

A complete and more detailed promotional schedule will be released next week.
