The Captains erased a 3-0 deficit in the top of the ninth on Sunday, but lost in walk-off fashion to the TinCaps, 4-3. Tucupita Marcano's RBI single in the bottom of the ninth was the game-winning hit for Fort Waybe.

The Captains clinched a spot in the 2019 Midwest League Playoffs with a 7-4 win over the Fort Wayne TinCaps on Saturday night. Lake County wins the Eastern Division Wild Card and will play in the postseason for the first time since 2014.
