Gray dominates as Nuts top Storm

Lake Elsinore, CA-The Lake Elsinore Storm faced their toughest challenge of the season as they went up against 2013 first rounder and third overall selection, Jonathan Gray of the Modesto nuts, losing 4-1 on Fan Appreciation Night Sunday.

Storm RHP Bryce Morrow tossed six innings giving up four runs (two earned) on six hits while striking out three and taking his second loss of the year. 

Nuts RHP Jon Gray picked up his fourth win of the year, tossing five scorless innings scattering two hits, no walks and struck out eight batters.

Lake Elsinore collected five hits including two from Bridger Hunt (2-for-4 with a double). Travis Whitmore (1-for-3) drove in the loan run for the Storm in the eighth inning.

The Storm will look to avoid the four game sweep on the last regular season home game on Monday with a first pitch scheduled at 6:05 p.m.
