Reed, Mader to Gwinnett; McLaughlin, Murphy to Mississippi
M-Braves shuffle roster prior to series at Biloxi

BILOXI, MS - The Atlanta Braves have made the following roster moves affecting the M-Braves roster prior to tonight's series opener against the Biloxi Shuckers at MGM Park. OF Michael Reed and LHPMichael Mader have been promoted to Triple-A Gwinnett, while RHP Sean McLaughlin and OF Taylor Murphy have been promoted to Mississippi from High-A Florida. Also, RHP Josh Graham has been transferred to Florida from Mississippi.
Reed, 25, leaves the M-Braves ranking seventh in the Southern League with a .314 batting average, third with a .446 OBP and tied for fourth in runs scored with 33. The Cedar Park, TX native reached base safely in 38 of his 44 games played this season and had on-base streaks of 18 games and 12 games. His 12-game hitting streak from April 6-23 was the longest this season by an M-Braves player.
Mader, 24, has made one start for Triple-A Gwinnett this season going 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA (1 ER/6.0 IP) with three strikeouts and one walk. In 12 games, three starts for the M-Braves, Mader is 1-1 with a 3.10 ERA (10 ER/29.0 IP) and two saves with 25 strikeouts and 16 walks. Mader was acquired by the Braves from Miami on August 6, 2016.
McLaughlin, 24, went 1-3 with a 1.75 ERA (5 ER/25.2 IP) with 10 strikeouts and 6 walks in 18 games for the Florida Fire Frogs this season and was 2-for-6 in save opportunities. In 2017, the Johns Creek, CA native appeared in 35 games with Florida, and went 4-4 with a 3.97 ERA (29 ER/65.2 IP) and 58 strikeouts. McLaughlin was selected by the Braves in the 19th round of the 2015 draft out of the University of Georgia.
Murphy, 25, was signed by the Braves to a minor-league contract on April 30 after being released by Cleveland on April 14. In three games this season for Double-A Akron, Murphy hit .222 with one double and one RBI. in 14 games with the Fire Frogs, the Solano Beach, CA hit .273 with three doubles, one triple, one home run and six RBI. He logged a .391 OBP. In 2017, Murphy missed the first four months of the season after tearing the UCL in his right thumb during spring training. Murphy was originally selected by the Indians in the 15th round of the 2014 draft out of the University of the Pacific.
Graham, 24, was 2-2 with a 10.13 ERA (24 ER/21.1 IP) in a team-leading 20 games this season for the M-Braves. The Roseburg OR native posted two saves as well as 16 strikeouts. Graham was the Braves' fourth-round selection in 2015 out of the University of Oregon.
The Mississippi Braves active roster currently stands at 24 players and 6 players remain on the Disabled List.
