Minor League Baseball announced on June 30 that there will not be a 2020 season. The season, set to begin on April 9 was delayed due to COVID-19, would have been the 16th at Trustmark Park.

The Mississippi Braves, Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves celebrated the end of the decade by unveiling the All-Decade squad from 2010 to 2019.
In 2019, the M-Braves surpassed 3 million fans, 1,000 wins, placed a record three players on the Southern League Postseason All-Star team, including the first-ever league MVP.
A hitting machine atop the Mississippi Braves lineup, Drew Waters took the Southern League by storm in 2019 and soared toward the top of the Atlanta Braves prospect lists. Waters became the first M-Brave to win the award and first for the franchise since Javy Lopez in 1991 for the Greenville Braves.
After big 2019 campaigns, OF Trey Harris and RHP Ian Anderson were named its Minor League Player and Pitcher of the Year. Outfielders Cristian Pache and Drew Waters and pitchers Anderson and Tucker Davidson shared Mississippi Braves Player of the Year awards.
Hours after he was named to the All-Star Futures Game, the third-ranked Braves prospect tied the team record with a career-high 14 strikeouts over seven innings as he and reliever Jeremy Walker no-hit Jackson, 2-0, on June 28 at Trustmark Park. History was made on the night the M-Braves saluted the Jackson Generals with throwback jerseys.
M-Braves Office Manager Christy Shaw has become an inspiration around the Atlanta Braves organization and baseball with her courageous fight against breast cancer. Her journey hasn't been easy, but she is now cancer-free and crucial part of the Mississippi Braves.
