Minor League Baseball has announced the launch of “The Nine,” a new, Black-community focused outreach platform specifically designed to honor and celebrate the historic impact numerous Black baseball pioneers made on the sport, provide new opportunities for youth baseball and softball participation, further diversify the business of baseball, and embrace millions of passionate fans throughout MiLB’s 120 communities nationwide.


Opening Day at Trustmark Park will be on Friday, April 8, 2022, against the Montgomery Biscuits to begin a three-game weekend series. The 2022 schedule will feature 138 games, including 69 home games.
RHP Bryce Elder was named the 2021 Phil Niekro Award as the organization’s minor league pitcher of the year, while C Shea Langeliers is the club’s 2021 Hank Aaron Award winner as the team’s top minor league position player.
Bryce Elder and Daysbel Hernandez combined for the fourth no-hitter in M-Braves history on Saturday, June 10th at Trustmark Park. The M-Braves shut out the Pensacola Blue Wahoos 6-0.
