MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Biscuits (46-47/18-13) were in full control as they dismantled the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (50-45/15-16),11-9 Friday night at Riverwalk Stadium. Despite Pensacola's 16 hits, the Biscuits were able to survive the late game surge and keep control of the series.

The Blue Wahoos scored first with a Troy Johnston home run off Biscuits starter Chris Gas (3-0, 2.73). Pensacola improved on their lead, striking again with an RBI-single from Cobie Fletcher-Vance to make it 2-0 early. The lead did not last for long as Brett Wisely cut at the lead with a solo home run in the bottom of the first. Montgomery was able to tie the game at two when Tyler Frank connected on a line drive RBI-single. Osleivis Basabe hit a sac fly to bring home Erik Ostberg and put the Biscuits on top 3-2. Kameron Misner put the Biscuits in a comfortable position with a three-run home run to extend the lead to 6-2 before the side was retired.

In the very next inning, the Biscuits were able to load the bases and score on a bases-loaded walk from Chandler Jozwiak. Still in the third inning, Diego Infante struck a deep three-run RBI-double to put the Biscuits in double-digits, 10-2.

In the fourth, Pensacola kept it slow and steady as they tried to climb the Biscuit mountain. J.D Orr hit an RBI-single on a ground ball that was deflected by pitcher Sean Hunley to make it 10-3. Jose Devers then smacked a deep three-run home run to left to put the Blue Wahoos within four, 10-6.

After four scoreless innings and the Biscuits close to ending it, Montgomery went on to add another run when Ronny Simon grounded into a double play and grew the lead to 11-6. In the top of the ninth, Pensacola did its best to keep it close. Devers again recorded an RBI to set the Blue Wahoos up in a good position. A sac fly by Nasim Nunez and groundout by Griffin Conine made things uneasy as the lead was now shortened to two, 11-9. With two outs and men on the corners, Montgomery could smell the win in the air. Manager Morgan Ensberg could as well and made a pitching change as Justin Sterner replaced Joe LaSorsa, LaSorsa was able to put the Blue Wahoos to bed with a strikeout for the third and final out to a game that started to get uneasy late.

The win makes it three out of four for the Biscuits in the series and one step closer to .500 overall. The Biscuits will be back in action Saturday for College Football Night when Mason Montgomery (0-0, 2.08) faces Pat Monteverde (0-0, 0.00) at 6:05 PM CT.

The series concludes with Kids Water Bottle Giveaway and Bark In the Park Sunday at 3:33 PM CT.
