Biscuits Storm Back From Five-Run Deficit in 10-6 Win Over Blue Wahoos

MONTGOMERY, AL - In front of 5,120 fans at Riverwalk Stadium, the Montgomery Biscuits stormed back from a five-run deficit to win their fourth straight, 10-6, against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos on Friday night.

After giving up five runs in the top of the third, the Biscuits got all five runs back in the bottom of the inning. Dominic Keegan singled in a run to start the inning. With two outs, Tanner Murray singled in two more and Heriberto Hernandez roped a two-run homer to left field to tie the game at 5-5.

Montgomery would score five of the game’s next six runs. Dru Baker delivered an RBI double in the fifth, completing a four-hit game with a double and three singles. Keegan hit a solo homer in the sixth, homering for a second straight contest. Hernandez hit a sacrifice fly deep to right field to make it 10-6.

Keegan went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI, and Hernandez finished 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, and three RBI.

The Biscuits bullpen retired the final 15 Pensacola batters. Evan Reifert, Antonio Menendez, and Austin Vernon each pitched a scoreless frame over the final three innings.

The fourth and fifth games of the series are on Saturday at Riverwalk Stadium. The doubleheader features Ian Seymour to start game one and Brendan McKay to start game two for Montgomery . The first pitch is at 4:00 pm CT. Fans can listen on Sports Radio 740, MiLB First Pitch App, and Bally Live.
