BILOXI, MS - Ian Seymour threw five perfect innings, the pitching staff combined for a one-hit shutout, and the Montgomery Biscuits (18-15) won back-to-back games to split the series against the Biloxi Shuckers (16-17) at Shuckers Ballpark.

After a difficult start on Tuesday against the Shuckers, Seymour bounced back on Sunday. The left-hander retired all 15 batters he faced and racked up eight punchouts. He improved to 2-2 with a 2.78 ERA and has covered at least five innings in all seven of his starts.

Carson Williams walked, stole a base, and scored on an error in the first frame to give the Biscuits a lead they held the entire way. Williams finished 2-for-3 with a triple, two walks, and an RBI.

Jalen Battles recorded two RBI, including a sacrifice fly as part of a three-run eighth inning. Willy Vasquez went 2-for-4 with a walk.

Evan Reifert and Connor Lunn each added a scoreless inning. Reifert made his first appearance since April 12 after coming off the Injured List, and Lunn made his first appearance in the Rays organization after being signed on Tuesday. Antonio Menendez finished the one-hitter with two shutout innings and four strikeouts.

Montgomery returns home on Tuesday night for a six-game series against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (Double-A Affiliate, Miami Marlins) at Riverwalk Stadium. Fans can view the upcoming schedule and purchase tickets HERE.
