BILOXI, MS - The Montgomery Biscuits (17-15) took their first lead in the seventh inning, and Alfredo Zarraga put together an impressive six-out save to bring in a 3-2 win against the Biloxi Shuckers (16-16) on Saturday night at Shuckers Ballpark.

The Biscuits struck two separate times to tie the game in the fourth and the sixth. In the fourth, Willy Vasquez walked with the bases loaded to tie the game at 1-1. In the sixth, Heriberto Hernandez lined a single into left field to score Bob Seymour and make it 2-2. Hernandez is second in the league with 21 RBI.

In the seventh, Mason Auer put the Biscuits ahead for the first time, 3-2, as he drilled a single into left center to score Matthew Dyer. It was Auer’s first RBI of the season, coming in his sixth game as he has had two separate stints on the Injured List.

Adam Leverett earned his second win in as many appearances, piggybacking off Sean Hunley’s two scoreless innings to start the game. The right-hander allowed two runs in five innings and has given up three runs in 10 innings since returning from Triple-A Durham.

Zarraga put together two gutsy innings for his third save of the season. The 23-year-old mowed down three batters with swinging strikeouts in the eighth and struck out a pair to close out a six-out save in the ninth. He allowed just one baserunner, a walk to start the ninth.

The series finale is on Sunday afternoon at Shuckers Ballpark. Ian Seymour will make the start for Montgomery while TJ Shook will start for Biloxi. The first pitch is at 1:05pm CT. Fans can listen on Sports Radio 740, MiLB First Pitch App, and Bally Live.
