The Senators closed to within 8-4 heading to the fourth inning but couldn’t keep Erie from scoring over the middle innings and breaking the game open. The Senators had their three-game winning streak snapped with the loss.
The Big Play
Trei Cruz hit the first pitch of the game for a double and Colt Keith followed with a two-run home run to put Erie on top 2-0. They went on to score eight runs in the first inning.
