The Senators broke their scoreless inning streak Tuesday night in Reading but fell short in their 4-1 loss to the Fightin Phils. The run the Sens scored in the fifth inning snapped their scoreless inning streak at 24.2 innings. Harrisburg had a chance in the sixth, loading the bases with one out, but a pop out and ground out ended the threat.

ON CAPITAL HILL

Cade Cavalli started and went 4.2 innings allowing two runs on three hits. He also struck out six but also walked six.

Pearson McMahan came on in the fifth and stranded two runners with an out then pitched a perfect sixth inning.

Diego Moreno allowed two runs in one inning of work.

Bryan Dobzanski pitched the eighth and after a lead off single, retired the final three batters he faced.

WITH THE GAVEL

Gage Canning had two hits, his first two Double-A hits.

Gilbert Lara and Cade Cavalli had back-to-back doubles in the fifth inning to score the Sens lone run.

FILIBUSTERS

Harrisburg has scored just one run in their past three games. They hit into two double-plays, their 30th and 31st DPs this season. Cole Freeman singled in the 3rd inning to extend his on-base streak to 22 games.
