BROOKLYN, N.Y. - In front of a TV audience on SNY, the Cyclones topped the BlueClaws, 6-1, on Thursday night. CF Trey Snyder finished 3-for-5 at the plate with 2 RBI, while 3B Antonio Jimenez went 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored. Brooklyn scored five of its six runs from the 7th inning on.

‘Clones arms were stupendous, keeping Jersey Shore in check all night. RHP Joel Díaz tossed 4.0 innings of one-run ball. The righty has permitted just two runs over his last three outings, spanning 10.0 innings.

After Díaz, the Brooklyn ‘pen took the baton and ran with it. The trio of RHP Hunter Hodges, RHP Parker Carlson and LHP Gregori Louis combined to toss 5.0 shutout innings, allowing just one hit and three walks, while striking out eight.

Jersey Shore opened the scoring in the 3rd, when Díaz allowed his lone run of the night, SS Juan Villavicencio laced an RBI triple to center field to give the BlueClaws the lead.

Brooklyn responded with a run in the 4th. With a man on 3rd on two outs, Jimenez roped a ground ball through the middle to tie the game.

The two squads would trade zeroes all the way until the bottom of the 7th frame, an inning in which Brooklyn sent all nine to the plate. With a man on 3rd and one out, DH Daiverson Gutiérrez roped his 16th double of the year to left field to plate the go-ahead run.

Brooklyn was just getting started in the frame. After a flyout, C Chase Meggers worked a two-out walk. Then, Snyder lined a base knock to center, extending the Brooklyn lead to 3-1. The BlueClaws made a pitching change, but the Brooklyn bats kept the line moving. RHP Gabe Craig came on and hit a batter, before RF Yonatan Henríquez worked a bases-loaded walk to push the Brooklyn lead to 4-1.

The Cyclones plated two more in the 8th, both with two outs. Meggers smacked an RBI single to right field, before Snyder came through with his third and final hit of the day, extending the lead to 6-1.

Brooklyn and Jersey Shore return to action on Friday night at 6:40. RHP Luke Gabrysh (0-0, 6.75 ERA) will make his Maimonides Park debut against his old team, while Jersey Shore projects to send RHP Ryan Dromboski (2-6, 5.89 ERA) to the mound.
