MONTGOMERY, AL (September 13, 2026) – The Montgomery Biscuits defeated the Columbus Clingstones, 4-1, Sunday afternoon at DABOS Park, to earn a series win and finish 71-66 on the season.

Montgomery grabbed an early lead in the first inning when Theo Gillen lifted a sacrifice fly to left, scoring Mac Horvath.

The Biscuits added to their advantage in the second when Horvath launched his 12th home run of the season to left field, making it 2-0.

Montgomery extended the lead in the seventh. Brock Jones hit his fourth homer of the season to right-center, and Kinney followed with a groundout that scored Horvath after a throwing error by Columbus first baseman Dixon Williams, pushing the lead to 4-0.

Columbus broke through in the ninth when Alex Lodise reached on a fielding error, allowing Dalton McIntyre to score, but Justin Yeager closed out the game to secure the victory.

Horvath went 3-for-3 with a home run, three runs scored and an RBI. Jones added a home run and two hits, while Barrios and Cooper Kinney each collected a hit.

On the mound, Jackson Baumeister worked 2.0 scoreless innings to open the game. Garrett Edwards earned the win, improving to 6-10 after tossing 6.0 scoreless innings while allowing one hit and striking out four.
