ERIE, Pa. - A Jake Rogers two-run home run with one out in the bottom of the ninth propelled the Erie SeaWolves to a 4-3 victory over the Bowie Baysox in front of 7,020 at UPMC Park Tuesday night.

The Baysox (36-47) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Three singles opened the frame for the visitors and Ryan McKenna brought in a run with a bases-loaded walk, scoring Aderlin Rodriguez with the game's first run. The new center fielder went 1-for-3 with that RBI, recording his 12th hit in just the 13th Double-A game of his career.
After the SeaWolves (39-43) tied the game with a run in the third, Martin Cervenka grounded into a double play in the fourth inning with two outs. Anderson Feliz, who led off the inning with his second single in as many at-bats, scored to put the visitors up, 2-1. The Bowie catcher wrapped up the road trip in style, driving in five runs on four hits (including three extra-base hits) in his final two games against Erie.
Despite the no-decision, LHP Luis Ysla twirled his first quality start of the season. The lefty held a potent Erie offense to a single earned run on two hits while striking out seven SeaWolves over six innings. Ysla's night marked the longest start of 2018, surpassing a five-inning, eight-strikeout mastery of the Richmond Flying Squirrels in game one of the June 23 doubleheader at the Diamond.
The Baysox return home tomorrow for a Fourth of July contest at 6:35 p.m., when Bowie hosts the Harrisburg Senators, Double-A Affiliate of the Washington Nationals. Get tickets over phone at 301-464-4865 or online at baysox.com.
