Dear Sea Unicorns Fans,
As we move closer to the start of our 2022 season, I would like to update you on many happenings with the Norwich Sea Unicorns. As many of you know, we have had a few personnel moves in the Front Office. A huge part of our new roles has included a learning curve regarding setting up promotions such as the fireworks shows.
Early on, we promised you eight fireworks shows again this season, and we are going to make that happen. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we did have to change the date of our Fourth of July fireworks. Instead of having fireworks on Independence Day, we will now provide the greatest baseball promotion in history on Saturday, July 2nd.
With that now set, we officially have our eight fireworks dates:
Monday, May 30th Friday, June 3rd Friday, June 24th Friday, July 1st
Saturday, July 2nd Friday, July 15th Friday, July 29th Friday, August 5th
Beyond the fireworks shows, we will also be bringing our great fans other fun promotions such as our Magnet Schedule giveaway on Opening Night, May 30th, a special appearance by Bill “Spaceman” Lee on Saturday, June 11th, a Fanny Pack giveaway on Saturday, June 25th, a Seat Cushion giveaway on Saturday, July 2nd, a Reusable Shopping Tote Bag on Saturday, July 9th and live music from the band Branded…Country That Rocks before and after our Saturday, July 23rd game.
We will also be bringing back many favorite theme nights such as First Responder Night on Friday, June 24th, Military Appreciation Night on Friday, July 29th, and Fan Appreciation Night on Friday, August 5th. We will celebrate our Nation’s Independence with a weekend long bash during our games on Friday, July 1st, Saturday, July 2nd and Monday, July 4th. The July 4th game will now be a 1:00pm start and we are working on details for a special BBQ feast for a select number of fans.
There will also be weekly promotions including the ever popular Thirsty Thursday, which will now be joined by Dollar Dog Night. Timeless Tuesday is our new Sea-Nior Unicorns night with a special Mini Plan package available to those fans 55 and over. We have combined that with our Kids Eat Free promotion to make it a fun night at the ballpark for the Sea-Nior Unicorns to bring the grand kids. Camp Day returns for the 2022 season. Our Wednesday, July 13th game will be a special 11:00am start time for the summer camps in the region to bring the kids out for a fun day. An addition for this season is a Business Man’s Special on Wednesday, August 3rd for those who want to play hooky from work for a nice afternoon at the ballpark.
As always, we can’t wait to see all of our great fans out at Dodd Stadium this season. We are looking forward to having a SOLD OUT crowd on Opening Night. We are working on a great program with the Greater Norwich Area Chamber of Commerce as they are selling tickets for Opening Night. Premium seats through the Chamber are only $10, and the Chamber is earning back $5 from every ticket they sell for that night. We would also like to thank all of our sponsors, without whom we could not bring you all of the great promotions we have in store for you this year! Thank you and Go Sea Unicorns!
