Round Rock opened the scoring in the bottom of the first. With CF Cam Cauley on third and LF Aaron Zavala on second, DH Jonah Bride grounded out, allowing Cauley to score from third for the first run of the game.

The Isotopes evened the score at one in the third after LF Sterlin Thompson drove in CF Conner Capel with an RBI single.

The Express tallied two runs over the fourth and fifth innings to take a 3-1 lead. In the fourth, 2B Diego Castillo drove in a run with an RBI double. One inning later, Cauley launched a solo home run to make it a two-run advantage for Round Rock.

Albuquerque stormed back to score 10 runs over the final two innings as they erased a two-run deficit. Round Rock allowed six walks over the two innings as the Isotopes took an 11-3 lead that they never relinquished.

INF DIEGO CASTILLO: has recorded 5 RBI in his last 4 G and an RBI in his last 4 G… has been on a tear this month, slashing a team-high .342 batting average while also collecting 25 H this month… is also on a 7-G hitting streak, slashing .423/.448/.500 over that span.

RHP BEN PEOPLES: (ND, 1.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 SO, 17 pitches, 10 strikes) was the first man out of the pen in his 3rd appearance with Round Rock since being optioned from the Rangers on 8/14… came in to retire the final batter of the 4th inning… lone base runner was from a hit by pitch to 2B Tyler Freeman in the 5th… 2 of his 3 outings with the E-Train have been scoreless… the right-hander held a 0-1 record with a 2.51 ERA (4 ER/14.1 IP) in 14 outings with TEX.

OF AARON ZAVALA: finished the night going 3-for-4 with three singles… tallied his 26th multi-hit G this season… the outfielder Is batting a season-high .309 (25-for-81) in August with 14 RBIs, 9 XBH, and 7 BB in 20 G this month.

INF/OF CAM CAULEY: belted his 13th homer with Round Rock in the 5th inning… now leads Round Rock in home runs this season despite only playing 84 G with the Express… before being called up to TEX on 6/29, Cauley had 8 HR in 74 G with the E-Train… since returning to Round Rock on 8/15, the utilityman has hit 4 HR in his last 10 G.
