The Reno Aces returned to Greater Nevada Field and took four games against the Salt Lake Bees, Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angel, in a six-game homestand. After the week-long divisional battle, the Aces continue to hold a 13-11 advantage against the Bees this season.

A season-high eight doubles fueled Reno’s 7-4 win against Salt Lake Wednesday night. Camden Duzenack swung a hot bat, tied a franchise record with three doubles, and drove in two runs. Trailing 3-2 in the fourth, the Aces plated three, powered by a two-run double from Jake Hager to put Reno ahead 5-3. A pair of RBI doubles from Duzenack and Corbin Carroll in the sixth cemented Reno’s 7-4 victory. Blake Workman earned his third Triple-A win with three earned runs on five hits, one walk and no strikeouts in 1.1 innings of relief. The save was awarded to Keone Kela when the right-hander tossed a scoreless ninth, and allowed no hits and no walks in the ninth.

The Aces unleashed a six-run offensive raid in the first inning to set the tone early in their 7-3 win over the Bees Friday. The six-run first was powered by a three-run shot from Duzenack and a solo smash from Hager to give Reno the 6-0 lead. Ryne Nelson (W,9-5) earned his team-leading ninth win after the right-hander allowed three earned runs on nine hits, walked two and struck out five in 7.0 innings of work.

Brandon Pfaadt continued to impress at the Triple-A level with a stellar start in Reno’s 4-2 win against Salt Lake Saturday. The right-hander out of Louisville, Kentucky, fired seven shutout innings of one-hit ball, walked two and struck out four for this third Triple-A win. With a 1-0 lead in the seventh, the Aces added three runs, capped off by a solo shot from Duzenack for a 4-0 lead. J.B. Wendelken earned his first save of the season with a scoreless ninth, allowing just one hit, no walks and no strikeouts to secure the win.

Reno’s squad finished their homestand strong Sunday when Drey Jameson dealt seven innings of one-run ball en route to a 4-1 Aces win. Duzenack led Reno’s offense with a 2-for-2 effort, a home run, double, and two RBI. The save was awarded to Mitchell Stumpo after the Guilford College product tossed a scoreless ninth, allowed just one hit and struck out two batters to secure the 4-1 win.
