The game that began Thursday will be completed starting at 5:05 pm and Friday's game (which is still a nine-inning game) will begin no earlier than 7:05 pm. Here is the full story.
First, let's start with Thursday night:
Why was the game suspended?
The game was suspended due to fog, and per baseball rules, because Delmarva took the lead in the top of the sixth inning (3-2), and the BlueClaws have not yet come to bat in the sixth, the game was suspended and not completed.
What can I do with my Thursday (May 25th) tickets?
These tickets can be exchanged for any remaining BlueClaws game in the first half of the season (which ends June 18th). All exchanges must be made in person at the BlueClaws Box Office and you must bring your original game ticket.
Can I use my Thursday tickets for Friday?
Yes, but you must exchange them at the Box Office for a May 26th ticket.
Now, some questions regarding Friday night:
If I have a Friday ticket, can I come to both games?
Yes, and there is no need to exchange Friday tickets. Simply walk straight to the gates and have a Clawsome night!
What does this mean for Friday's game?
The game suspended on Thursday must be finished on Friday beginning at 5:05 pm. It will be resumed from the point at which play was halted (2 outs, runner at 2nd base, Delmarva leading 3-2 in the top of the sixth inning). Friday's regularly scheduled game, which remains at nine innings, will follow the game but will not start any earlier than 7:05 pm.
I want a Harry Potter Magic Mug (they're being given to the first 1,500 fans thanks to University Radiology). When are they being given out now?
The Magic Mugs will be given out when the gates open at 4:30 pm to the first 1,500 fans.
With the popularity of the giveaway, why couldn't you finish the Thursday game on Saturday so as not to interfere with Harry Potter Night?
Baseball rules require that any suspended game be completed before the start of the next scheduled meeting between the two teams, meaning that finishing Thursday's game on Saturday and opening up the scheduled 6:00 pm on Friday was not an option.
Will the BlueClaws be wearing special jerseys for both games?
Special jerseys (see below) will be worn for game two. The jerseys will be auctioned off (silent auction on the concourse) with proceeds going to BlueClaws Charities and their Community Partners.
