SAN ANTONIO, Texas (April 14, 2022) – The Frisco RoughRiders used a four-run eighth inning to springboard themselves to a 6-3 win over the San Antonio Missions on Thursday night from Nelson Wolff Stadium.

Trailing 3-2, Frisco (5-1) began the eighth with an Ezequiel Duran double and had two on after Sandro Fabian walked with one out. Kellen Strahm then hit a ground ball to short that might have ended the inning on a double play, but it went under shortstop Korry Howell's glove, allowing Strahm to come into score the game-tying run. With two on and two out, Jordan Procyshen then hammered a three-run go-ahead home run, putting the Riders up 6-3.

Seth Nordlin (1-1) earned the win with two scoreless innings and Lucas Jacobsen recorded his first save of the season with a 1-2-3 ninth. The Riders have now had a save in all five of their wins this season. Carlos Belen (0-1) took the loss for San Antonio (2-4).

The RoughRiders started the scoring off in the first inning when Duran laced an RBI double down the first baseline and took a 2-0 lead on a J.P. Martinez RBI single in the second frame.

San Antonio fought back in the third inning with an RBI single from Esteury Ruiz and then tied it up at 2-2 with Mitch Walding RBI groundout.

In the sixth, the Missions took a 3-2 lead on a sacrifice fly from Brandon Dixon, setting up the comeback for Frisco.

The RoughRiders continue their opening road trip of the season against the San Antonio Missions on Friday, April 15 at 7:05 p.m. Riders LHP Cody Bradford (0-0, 4.15) is slated to make his second start on the mound on Thursday against LHP Osvaldo Hernandez (0-0, 189.00) for San Antonio.
