CONEY ISLAND, Brooklyn, N.Y. (May 6, 2026) — Starting on Wednesday, May 6, through Friday, May 15, fans will be able to vote for the Brooklyn Cyclones' Most Reliable Player for the month of April.

VOTE FOR CYCLONES' MOST RELIABLE PLAYER OF THE MONTH FOR APRIL

Among the four (4) candidates to choose from are:

John BAY (OF)

20 G, 15x64, .234/.410/.422/.832, 12 R, 7 XBH, 2 HR, 10 RBI, 11 BB, 23 SO, 6/7 SB, 8 HBP

Bay was a ball magnet during the first month of the season, getting plunked by a team-high eight pitches. The Shattuck, Okla. native led the Cyclones in runs scored (12) and was tied for the team lead in RBI (10), extra-base hits (7), and games played (20). Bay also led all team qualifiers in batting average (.234), on-base percentage (.410), slugging percentage (.422), and OPS (.832).

Corey COLLINS (1B)

17 G, 14x59, .237/.370/.424/.794, 8 R, 6 XBH, 2 HR, 6 RBI, 11 BB, 18 SO, 2 HBP

After missing a good chuck of the 2025 season with injury, Collins made his first Opening Day roster in 2026 and served as a bright spot in Brooklyn's lineup. The Suwanee, Ga. native was tied for second on the team in home runs (2) and walks, while sitting third in total bases (25), and tied for third in extra-base hits (6). Collins went 2-for-2 with a double and a solo home run against six-time All-Star and former American League Cy Young Award winner RHP Gerrit Cole on Thursday, April 23, at Hudson Valley.

Irving COTA (RHP)

1-1, 0.96 ERA, 5 G (3 GS), 18.2 IP, 12 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 2 HB, 5 BB, 11 SO, .182 BAA

Cota was as effective as any pitcher in the South Atlantic League during the season's first month. Among SAL pitchers with 15.0 or more innings of work, the 22-year-old ranked fourth in the circuit in ERA (0.96), seventh in opposing OPS (.484), and 10th in WHIP (0.91). Cota threw 12.0-straight scoreless innings to begin the year switching between Brooklyn's bullpen and rotation.

Ronald HERNANDEZ (C)

20 G, 12x64, .188/.357/.313/.670, 10 R, 7 XBH, 0 HR, 10 RBI, 18 BB, 19 SO, 2 SB

Hernandez opened the season on Coney Island and found his stride during the second half of the season's first month. The 22-year-old finished April tied for third in the South Atlantic League in walks (18) and tied for eighth in doubles (6). Hernandez led the Cyclones in free passes, drawing seven more than any other player, and was tied for the team lead in RBI (10), extra-base hits (7), and games played (20).
