On Sunday, Ozzie Albies' nine-game hitting streak came to an end.
On Monday, his week came to an end before it even got started.
Albies -- Atlanta's top prospect and baseball's seventh overall -- was placed on the seven-day disabled list with a left-foot contusion.

The 20-year-old second baseman batted .262/.311/.391 with three home runs, 35 runs scored and 15 stolen bases in 54 games with Triple-A Gwinnett.
Albies moved back to the keystone full time this season after playing 83 games at second and 55 at shortstop last season, when he hit a combined .292/.358/.420 between Double-A Mississippi and Gwinnett.
He got off to a slow start in 2017, but batted .268/.336/.402 since the start of May with three homers, 21 runs and seven steals in 31 games, showing signs of improvement from his .659 OPS in 56 games with Gwinnett last season and his .656 OPS in April.
The 5-foot-9, 160-pound native of Curacao missed time each of the past two seasons with a right thumb fracture in August 2015 and a fractured elbow last September.
