As work on the CarMax Park site nears the one-year mark, construction remains on schedule for an April 2026 opening.
Work has begun on many of the baseball features within the venue including the center field batter’s eye, which will be 62 feet wide and more than 25 feet tall. The installation of the left-field foul pole marks another baseball milestone for the project.
Other amenities starting to emerge in left field include the multi-level beer garden — located adjacent to the visitors’ bullpen — and multiple group hospitality areas beyond the left-field wall including The Landing and Power Alley Porch. Significant progress has also been made framing each of CarMax Park's four Rail Car Suites.
Additional areas along the ballpark’s 360-degree concourse, including The Lawn section in right-center field, are also taking shape as construction progresses toward the right-field corner.
On the upper level of the venue, framing for the suites at CarMax Park continues to advance as crews prepare to install glass in the coming weeks. The ballpark will feature 21 upper-level suites, including the City View Suite with views of downtown Richmond. Fans interested in renting a suite can click here to request more information.
