Bees Can't Solve Wisconsin's Herrera

Bees manage just two hits in 4-0 loss to Timber Rattlers

(Burlington, IA) - The Burlington Bees (45-57) were held to just two hits in a 4-0 loss to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (40-61) in the second game of a doubleheader on Thursday night at Community Field. 

(Burlington, IA) - The Burlington Bees (45-57) were held to just two hits in a 4-0 loss to the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers (40-61) in the second game of a doubleheader on Thursday night at Community Field. 

Bees' starting pitcher Ronnie Glenn threw three scoreless innings to start the game before the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers took the lead in the fourth. Ryan Aguilar opened the inning with a single and then scored on a one-out double from Weston Wilson. Wilson then came home to score on Nathan Rodriguez single, extending the Timber Rattlers' lead to 2-0. 
Wisconsin added two more runs in the sixth inning. Aguilar once again started the rally by walking with one-out. After a Keston Hiura single, Weston Wilson drove in Aguilar with a single. Hiura came home to score on a wild pitch, pushing the lead to 4-0.
Timber Rattlers' starter Carlos Herrera (2-0) held the Bees to just two hits in a seven-inning complete game shutout. Bees' starter Ronnie Glenn (2-1) was charged with the loss. The Bees and the Timber Rattlers will finish the series on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. for Christmas in July and Budweiser Big Fun Friday with fireworks following the game. NOTES: The Bees lost to the Timber Rattlers for the first time since April 27th, a stretch of 11 games. Julian Leon doubled for one of the Bees two hits.
