The Salt Lake Bees dropped their second consecutive game to the Reno Aces 9-3 after a 90-minute rain delay put first pitch at 8:05 p.m.

Matt Thaiss went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI making him 8-for-16 over his last four games at the plate. Kean Wong and Torii Hunter Jr. each went 2-for-4 and Magneuris Sierra extended his hitting streak to four games.

Salt Lake scored in the bottom of the first on a Thaiss RBI single to make it 1-0 early. However, the Aces would score eight unanswered runs to take a 8-1 lead after five innings.

The Bees scored again in the sixth and the eighth innings, but couldn’t string together a big enough run to close the gap.

Salt Lake will look to get back on track tomorrow night at 6:35 p.m.
